Live Streaming of FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt games

The Thuringian hosting provider Keyweb supports the regional soccer club FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt (RWE) in responding to the challenges of Covid-19 in a variety of ways. The hosting and streaming services of Keyweb AG ensure the digital contact to the numerous Rot-Weiß fans. Keyweb also actively supports other fan initiatives.

Since the coronavirus has turned everyday life upside down, certain industries have suffered particularly badly and have had to face new challenges. These include the event industry, gastronomy, culture and many others, and of course sport. Although a more or less regular game operation has become possible again, ghost runs are taking place in most game locations and stadiums to prevent further chains of infection and to contain the virus. As far as possible, fans and spectators are not allowed to cheer for their favorite team as usual. But that is exactly what the passion for sport is all about - that it can be lived up close and personal.

While large sports clubs are still able to make the most of the restrictions and take the fans with them digitally, thanks to an appropriate budget and increased public interest, the smaller, regional sports clubs mostly face enormous challenges. This is where Keyweb AG comes in: The soccer club FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt which has been supported by Keyweb AG for many years, will be given the opportunity to continue to let its fans participate in the action with the live streaming of its games by the hosting provider.

Already in 2015 at the beginning of the sponsoring partnership between Keyweb AG and the regional soccer club FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt the idea was born to create a TV fan portal for FC RWE, which gives the large fan community insights outside the TV program with fan interviews, press conferences, training camps and backstage reports. Now, thanks to RWE.tv, the Rot-Weiß fans can also stream the games of their hearts' club live and join in the excitement from home.
The viewer numbers of up to almost 4000 per highlight game prove that this streaming service is not only well received and used by the fans, but also that the fans of the opposing teams use this option to watch the game.
The RWE livestream can be found directly on the website www.rwe.tv. Already on Sunday, 31.10.20, fans and interested parties can follow the next home game of FC RWE against VFL Halle live.

It has always been close to the heart of Frank Nowag, Chairman of the Board of Keyweb AG to commit himself in various ways to the welfare of FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt. In addition to direct hosting services for the club and the operation of the fan portal RWE.tv, Keyweb AG also supports the Förderverein Fußballherz FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt e.V. with targeted donations and active participation.
Frank Nowag also supports the Initiative Steigerwald FAN KIDS - with true passion – an honorary project that enables all children, clubs and families from the region to get a taste of the stadium atmosphere and to teach them how to deal with their own emotions, responsibility and values such as fair play and respect in a playful way.

Cultural life, free-time activities and finally sports are and will remain an important part of society, even in difficult times, that wants to be consumed and practiced. Digital channels make it possible to indulge one's passion from home and continue to live it, even if under different conditions than usual. Keyweb AG will continue to support culture and sports in the region with various IT hosting services and further commitment.
